    Early Voting in Alaska

How to vote electronically in Alaska
    1. Click here to download the application, then print and fill out the form (State of Alaska instructions and phone numbers follow the form in case you need any clarification).
    2. Once the form is complete and printed, sign it at the bottom and then either:
           a.  Scan it into your computer (as a .pdf, .jpg or .tiff) and e-mail it to: akabsentee@alaska.gov
           b.  Or fax it to: 1-907-677-9937
    3. You will have chosen how you want to receive the ballot, so wait for it; it normally takes about 24 hours to come back via e-mail, but it may take a little longer.
    4. When your ballot arrives there will be an additional document you need to sign called a “Voter Certificate and Identification” (VCI) which will also need to be signed by a witness who is over 18.
    5. Vote your ballot and complete the VCI, including witness signature, then scan them into your computer and upload to the link provided to you in the e-mail.  Of course, if you want, you can fax it to 907-677-9937.
    6. Note:  if you upload your ballot and VCI online you can track them to see when your vote has been counted.
